Wow, I hope you were able to watch the TAGS meet finals live
on the web. Close to a 1000 swimmers participated in Conroe,
Texas. COR had a great
meet. Some of our inspiring
individual highlights include:
Blake Maczka,14 finished 1st
in the 500 free breaking a 27 year old COR Team Record (CTR), 1st in the 1000 free,
breaking a 22 year old CTR and a new North Texas LSC record!! Also,
Blake finished 1st in the 1650 free, breaking a 23 year
old CTR! And
he finished 4th in the 400 IM.
Sarah McNair,14 finished 6th in the 1000
free breaking a 29 year old CTR! Sarah also finished 5th in the 1650 and
14th in the 500 free.
Caleb Crowe,13 finished
5th in the 100 back, 10th in the 200 back, breaking the 2 minute
mark!, 17th in the 200 free, 27 in the 400 IM and 34 in the 100
free.
Lauren Halliburton,13 swam the 100
breast to finish 15th.
Daryl Lewis,13 swim the 200 breast
finishing 10th with a new Sectional Cut, and 12th in the 100
breast. Hayden Steed,12 finaled in
all 7 of his events, finishing 1st in the 200 fly breaking a 15
year old CTR. Hayden
finished 2nd in the 500 free with a new LSC record and broke a 27
year old CTR. 2nd in the
200 IM with a 25 year old CTR,
2nd in the 200 free with a 24 year old CTR, and 2nd in the 100 fly with a 24 year
old CTR. Hayden also broke
a CTR with his 50 split of his
100 fly! Hayden also finish 3rd in the 100 back and 4th in
the 200 back with another 8 yr old CTR! Hayden's 500 free and 200 fly times
placed him 2nd in
the country!
Lorece Harris,12 finished 21st in the 50
free and 31st in the 100 free and dropped 2.5 seconds in the 50
fly! Kate Robinson,12 finished
30th in the 200 back and a BT in the 100 back.
Lainey Vaughn,12 finished
18th in the 100 back, 24 in the 200 free and 27 in the 200
back.
Alexandre Buisson,10 finished 11th in
the 50 fly, 14th in the 200 free, 15th in the 500 free, 16th in the
50 breast, 19th in the 100 breast, 20th in the 200 IM, and 22nd in
the 100 fly! Whew .. great job! More to come!
The week of March 19, Adam Bull, 17 will compete
at Juniors in Orlando! We are behind you 200%
Adam. Good Luck ...
COR is cheering you on.
While Adam is in Orlando, COR will return to the
pool. Attached you will find the schedule
for the week of March 19th and the Master Spring
Schedule. The week of March 19 will differ from
the master, as we ease back in to the full schedule which will
begin the week of March 26. The new schedule is exciting, it
will allow COR swimmers to swim together and for our Coaches to be
on deck and help with other groups along with their 'regular'
groups. So be ready to see additional friendly faces on
deck!!
We will be using Pearce Pool, TI (Texans Activity Center) and
Greenhill School and Rockwall LC Pool. Please talk with each
other to plan carpools. For those of you swimming at TI
(Seniors, Senior 2 and Dolphins), you will need to have a pass to
enter each morning. Those will be available next week along
with a consent form, details and directions.
The Spring is only a few short weeks ... so let's get excited
and have a great COR Spring!
